Ecofarming Center in Bohorok officially inaugurated

We are proud to informe that on Thursday, 31th March 2016, the additional farming facilities at the Ecofarming Center in Bohorok have been officially inaugurated. The renovation and development of the centre was funded by the Japanese Consulate in Medan, as part of their Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security projects. The facilities are expected to support various trainings on organic agriculture.

The simple yet memorable inauguration ceremony was attended by the esteemed Hirofumi Morikawa, Japanese Consulate General in Medan, dr. Sofyan Tan, Chairman of YEL and further government officials, local farmers and members of the surrounding community. Here you find a detailed press release of the event in Indonesian.
