Bukit Lawang is located in the Gunung Leuser National Park on the island of Sumatra and is famous for its lush rainforests and diverse wildlife, including the critically endangered Sumatran orangutans.

Camping in the jungle can be an incredible experience. There are designated camping areas within the national park where you can set up your tent and spend the night surrounded by the sights and sounds of the rainforest.

Bat Cave & Bbq at Landak River

A real gem that is worth exploring is the unique bat cave approximately 2km away from Bukit Lawang. Followed by a picnic lunch by the Landak river, this is a perfect day out to be enjoyed with a loved one.

Village Tour on Tuktuk - Bukit Lawang

Village Tour

Get to observe the local life and Bukit Lawang’s agriculture. Enjoy the fresh air by riding a Tuktuk and explore the village’s plantation of rice fields, locally grown tofu/tempe, brown sugar, and a lot more! After the tour, you will be filled with a spread of organically sourced food from our own eco farming centre.

Elephant Bathing

Who doesn’t love elephants? This tour starts as early as 6AM as our driver takes you to a 2-hour road trip to Tangkahan village or dubbed as the hidden paradise of Sumatra. You will be briefed and guided by a friendly mahout. Be sure to take pictures but also be conscious while bathing the elephants.
